A Skype call is scheduled!

Hey 3rd graders!  Mrs. Broos and I have scheduled our next Skype call for Monday January 26 during your class time.  Before we can Skype with them we need to watch their videos, leave them some comments, and record the answer slide on our VoiceThread.  We’ve got a lot to do!  You also need to be thinking about what you would like to discuss with the kids from SRS during our Skype as well.

I hope you will be coming back from break ready to work!

I’m so honored!!

Today I got invited to an assembly at my Elementary School.  3A asked me specifically to be there.  I was wondering why it was important for me to be there.  Perhaps I was going to have to sing a song or something.  That made me a little worried because I always like to have a lot of practice before I sing in front of people. 

But it turned out that the kids had written a song for me!  The song was great and their classroom teacher even talked a little bit about all the interesting things the kids reported doing in music class.  They even made me a poster with the words to the song on it!  What a wonderful day! 

Well since the song mentioned podcasting I figured it was appropriate to invite the kids down to the music classroom/computer lab to make recording for the internet……So, drumroll please…….

Christmas Is Coming!

I know, I know……It’s not even Thanksgiving yet.  But since I only see my music classes 2 times a week for 25 minutes each time we have to begin practicing our Christmas music really early.  As you can see from the posts below we are really into the swing of things.  The kindergarteners and the first graders are both busy learning songs to sing.  The second graders are working on their songs as well.  The second graders are busy working on a movie on our Smartboard to go with one of our songs as well.  If we get it done in time we may show it at the Christmas Concert.  The third graders are working on a mini musical called The Incredible Reindeer.  It should be lots of fun!  So since we’re getting in the Christmas spirit at school I thought it might be fun to decorate our website too!  What do you think?
